BMW UK Order Tracking

Do any of you know the stages your order goes through during production? I called my dealer the other day and he said the car is ahead of schedule and at 'Bodyshop' stage - anyone know how long it takes from here?

In normal circumstances its about 2-3 weeks from the Bodyshop stage to arriving at the dealer. However my recent 320D E93 was built in early December, but due to an extended Christmas shutdown did not arrive at the dealer until late January or early Feb. I delayed collection until 1st of March for the 09 Plate which I wanted all along so I was not bothered about the wait, but time can go very slowly indeed when you are waiting for a new car!!

Keep us informed and post some pics when it arrives, what spec are you getting?

"Bodyshop Stage" - that's all i know

That is the first stage if try to change any of the spec now car will be delayed

BMW use number to describe stages !

When codes change to 96** number will be getting close

Car comes ten days before it delivery date on the computer

Update - Status is now 'Released to Carrier' - anyone know how much longer I have to endure!?!?

What ever the date sayes on the BMW computer car will arrive at dealer 7- 10 days earlier

Which dealer is your car going to?

Status is now 'In Transit'

Dealer date is 26th March so that means it should arrive by Wednesday latest?

I think you will have car by the 20th as car will have to go through prep take out of transport mode ect: Did you now car have block in suspension and in transit mode car cant be thrashed air con and only drivers window works no radio!!

BMW work on codes the one I can remeber off top of my head are
1100 can amend spec
1200 build any day if change spec now could delay car
5000 paint shop ( I think )
9600 completed
96** Mean different stages of delevery ie at factory waiting for collection in transit

Turns out I'm not so lucky - dealer has told me the date on the system is 26th March and that's when he expects it to arrive - no sign of it coming yet..!
