18's need to be staggered?

Hey all,

Ive been offered a set of wheels at a really good price (not sure why i need them ...) but they are an 8 x 18 fitment.

I think i read here that the wheels at the rear need to be bigger - is that correct?

I need to get back to the guy before the end of the day - so any help much appreciated!

They don't need to be staggered, but if the offsets of the wheels are the same all the way round, you'll find the rears sit way too far into the arch - it'll look a bit odd, as well as handle and bit weird as the rear track will be too narrow. If you must persist with 8x18" all the way round, and the offsets are indeed the same, then you'll need to use something like 15mm hub-centric spacers on the rear.

In the end it's better to use 8.5x18" on the rears rather than the 8x18"

Also the 8.5 helps accomodate the 255 tyre.

Yes indeed - helps balance out the car's handling, otherwise it becomes too understeery without the extra grip at the back...
