Really? Why was the HP so low? I thought Dinan stage 2 would be higher than that? Torque looks good.

If according to Dinan, the crank numbers are supposed to be 384 hp and 421 lb/ft torque, then you'd have had less than 10% loss to get your torque number. Using 10%, that would only give 360 HP...

this is a mustang dyno (reads lower)
if it was a dyno jet then his numbers are correct...
he is making good whp/wtq for a dinan stg2

Well I used 384hp at the crank with an assumed loss of 15% on an automatic. So 325whp so pretty close. Torque was pretty high though. I figured the numbers were pretty good for Dinan Stg. 2.

I think 10% loss is too low. I'm just taking it as getting more than 421 ft-lbs at the crank, which is fine by me.

If the dyno always reads low, then shouldn't the torque numbers be low too? That's the puzzling thing. Only the HP number is low. The torque numbers using the same 15% loss would give you over 450 ft-lbs! I was thinking you can't have 15% loss for HP purposes, but only 10% loss for torque?

Actually if you look at the graph where the torque peak, could be a spike from the look of it.

Very true. I'm more inclined to agree with that than assume I have over 450ft-lb. LOL. Too bad. Level out that spike and assume 360ft-lb ~ 423ft-lb at flywheel. Issued solved. Done.

Edit: I just looked at a couple of printouts (I didn't get all 3), that were filtered.

315whp/351wtrq
319whp/355wtrq

So, I think that the 386wtrq above is in fact a spike. Which means that it was likely around:

322whp/358wtrq

Right in line with what I should be getting, assuming a 15% loss on an AT.

Yeah, I guess that's making more sense. Good to see you have the advertised power. I recall a few people complaining of Dinan not putting out the advertised power.

The crazy thing is that those are great numbers compared to stock any way you look at it, but when one sees people with the Procede / JB3 getting mid to high 300's for WHP, compared to Dinan's 322, that's just mind blowing how much power Dinan has left on the table... Look at dkvby's HP. Wow.
