New iDrive?

Hi all. Been a lurker for a while and this is a great site. I'm looking to get a 335 this spring, with Nav and idrive as an option. I recently saw this article discussing a new version of iDrive. Do you guys know anything about it? Is it coming to the 335?

Per that article and from what I've heard on the forums, this isn't coming to the 3-series just yet... will be in the new X5 as mentioned. The 335i Coupe (not sure about Sedan) should have an extra camera accessory for the Park Distance Control (PDC) option. Other than that, no, the new 3 series aren't getting this i-drive, at least not currently, with all those extra buttons etc.

Do a search, I remember someone posted a cool PDC picture from it and it showed the camera view along with the proximity colors on the image, was pretty neat.

Not my usual source, but I heard MY2008 for the 3er coupe & 3er sedan. The 3er cabrio may have it at premiere.
