BMW care products: Paintwork and wheels

1) BMW Polishing Fleece
Very soft, hard-wearing cloth for polishing paintwork care products. It offers lots of advantages over polishing wads - less force required and no fluff when polishing. Ensures a very high yield of the care products because the cloth releases the active ingredients almost completely.
Part Number: 83129408529

2) BMW Car Wax
Seals the paintwork for long-lasting protection from the effects of the weather. High quality, natural Carnauba waxes intensify the colours and enhance the shine. Contains no abrasives and therefore is particularly gentle to the paintwork. Easy to use.
Part Number: 83120002719

3) BMW Car Polish
Protective cleaning and care emulsion. Extremely fine abrasive particles remove minor scratches such as result typically from the brushes in car wash systems. The product freshens up the paintwork and returns its original shine. High quality natural waxes provide long-term protection from the effects of the weather.
Part Number: 83129408526

4) BMW Wash & Wax
The power to remove dirt. The waxes in this product coat the paintwork with a film of preservative. They also produce a perfect shine.
Part Number: 83129408919

5) BMW Car Shampoo
Liquid cleaning product for hand washing. Removes all typical types of dirt from the road quickly and thoroughly. Also protects the wax coating on all paintwork surfaces.
Part Number: 83120412530

6) BMW Wheel Rim Cleaner
High effective, acid-free special cleaner for all BMW alloy and steel wheel rims. Removes brake dust, oil and rubber residue effortlessly, together with all other road dirt. Does not cause any corrosion on wheel nuts or studs.

It's pretty cheap, iirc the wax is like $7. It's made by Klasse, so the quality is generally good. Think of it as re-bottled Klasse, but for less money.

jorgex,

I've used the wheel cleaner in the past and when the brake dust is seriously stuck to the wheel finish, I use the BMW product. It's the best product I've come across for cleaning the wheels when the brake dust won't wash off with ordinary car body wash soap.

Ya, actually I think you're right. The last time I saw them they looked different; they were in Klasse shapped bottles (you know the ones, with the little handle). Oh well, Sonax is decent stuff too.

I like the wheel cleaner and Shampoo. I saw wheel cleaner what was a gel a few weeks ago in the dealership. I think it's a Meguires(sp?) product.

I used the wax before. It's okay.

Is the best product for that type of cleaning. Congrats for the new coupe... next year I will trade my E46 Coupe for one of those.

Do you feel that the wheel cleaner is safe for new wheels? Any thoughts

Yes, it is acid free and safe for any wheels. I have used it since day one I got the car. Not with every wash but when needed.
