I just recently got the new Y cable, my old one was too loose. I have noticed some noises between songs. I have a 30gb ipod. sounds like series of short bursts high pitch noises. sometimes i can hear it during a song, in the background, but very faint. When I turn the volume up, it get louder. Put the mute on, no noise. I tried it on my iphone, it played just fine and no noises between songs. I am thinking the new cable is more sensitive to the hard drive spinning? the old cable don't have this problem. the noises seem like the ipod is searching or reading the hard drive. anyone have the same problem? i am think maybe i should just get another Y cable from the dealer
