Its a good school. I'm in that area everyday, I've got a lot of friends that graduated there. Just tell her to be prepared for some coooold winters. HUGE difference to a winter in south africa ;+)

Barely, maybe to the 18 yr old oil tycoon daddy's boys with their first car being a 911 or an M6.

Otherwise Allston which is up the road is an EH neighborhood but BU is around the Kenmore square area and a 2min walk is fenway.

If Kev is browsing around the OT maybe he can chime in about his experience...

What are you looking to study? Each school has their strong points. Emerson is a design school, Northeastern has a great co-op program.

The location is awesome. Kenmore Square, Fenway Park, close to downtown. Tell her to learn baseball.

Went to BU, it's a good school albeit definitely pricey. Basically it doesn't really have a "campus," so if your sister is into the "big city" fast-paced feel she'll love it, otherwise she might feel like a little fish in a big pond. I knew people that went either way and everything turned out fine in the end.

The business/management program is excellent, but there are some snobby people in it.

Also, the gym is amazing ;-)

the $ isnt an issue, but i have heard that going to school in boston period is expensive.

the business/management stuff is what i want to study. i was planning on looking at BU but I really didnt think that it was so business oriented. ill have to give it a closer look now though.
thanks for the thoughts
