after cleaning the wind shield with microfiber towel, there seems to be lots of rock chip on the shield... can someone tell me why?? Is it just because the wind shield is clean now those mark become more obvious and easier to see( I only wiped the inside of the wind shield)?????

I have my front windshield tinted on the inside and I clean it with a MF towel. No problem....no damage

Lately, I've been cleaning inside glass with newspaper. I think it's an old trick, but it really works well.
Stoner Invisible Glass with newspaper is a great combination for streak-free glass. ![]()

Isn't the purpose of a MF not to damage surfaces? I use MF on all my windows including the windshield. I haven't noticed any damage. But if there's someone out there with some scientific proof that MF's damage glass, then I'll stop dead cold!

ok, let's cool down for a second.
if your MF scratches your windshield it's because you're using a cheap MF or because it's one of the "hard" MF cloths that's "designed" for glass - some of those are really dangerous and will scratch anything (it's not really a MF cloth). secondly: think about it. if MF can scratch your windshield which is made of GLASS, what would it do to your paint that's much softer?
