What's the difference between Run Flat and Reinforced

Well it looks as though my rear tyres are getting close to the limit so I've been looking on line for some replacements.

A lot the tyres listed are "reinforced" which I'm guessing is not the same as run flats but since they are cheaper I thought I would check with those in the know.

I also know, having read many of the threads on this subject, that a lot of you have got rid of your run flats all together but I'm a bit wary of this since I wouldn't want to get stuck with a puncture and no way of repairing it.

Has anyone had any personal experience of this situation and what did you do or use to get you out of it?

Mate, get some tyreweld.

Load of cars don't have spares or runflats these days.

Even my wifes humble honda civic has no spare and no runflats!!!!

Back on thread, re-inforced is a bit like 'heavy load' just a higher load rating. Not run flat at all though. You don't need run flat or heavy load (XL)
