some advise please

Thanks to all for the posting...

My father is giving my nephew his SILVER 1996 Acura TL. I am putting the finishing touches on the stereo system (Pioneer DEH-7000BT) some JL amps and subs...(this was my gift)...but now the car really needs some serious paint restoration...

My dad never really did much with the car appearance wise...just car automatic car washes...never waxed...never detailed...

I follow the cult of Zaino...works well for me on new cars...my 08 M5 is sapphire black and is swirl free (for the most part )....but clearly fails for restoration projects

The paint on this 12 year old, 100,000 mile is what you would expect...

So...any advise would be appreciated...I ordered a PC7424 and plan on spending the weekend with my nephew restoring this paint...

What products and pads...I may duplicate SNIZ's process that he used with his E36 M3 recently posted...

Thanks in advance

I would follow Sniz's procedure, except for the glaze.

Wash, clay, Menzerna SIP, Menzerna 106 or PO85d, make sure you do an IPA wipedown, sealant of your choice and wax topper if needed.

I would have to agree with the above steps, you may or may not need Power Gloss Compound before SIP depending on how bad the paint is, do you have some pictures maybe.
