FrankoQ, based on your input, I put a lot of 3m tape on the pillars and it still was not able to close those gaps to my liking. The bumper epoxy provides a much cleaner look. After re-examining under bright lights, I'm back to thinking about painting it to match the Monaco Blue. If I do it, I'll take more pics.

So the black epoxy doesn't blend with the monaco blue?
Are you planning on just touch up paint?

I might start this project this weekend.

It actually blends quite well. You have to be looking at it pretty closely to notice it's black and not blue. For example, my wife couldn't tell until I pointed my bright halogen work light at it and pointed it out. When I told her I was thinking of painting it to match the body color she thought I was nuts, saying there was no reason to, as no one would notice. More risk than potential reward was her opinion.

Unfortunately I'm a bit of a perfectionist with these things. I'm waiting on making a final decision about painting it until I get the car out in the sunlight and get a really good look at it. It's been raining for a couple days, so I've only been able to look at it under artificial light in the garage.

FrankoQ, this is for you.

I changed the settings on my camera and was able to get much better pictures. I've taken four pictures, initially taking them from a distance, then moving closer and closer. All pictures were taken with the bumper well lit with a halogen work lamp and the camera flash on. The bumper is fairly dirty, and obviously wet from the rain. I thoroughly wiped down the focus area of the pictures.

This first picture is from a standing position, the camera held at head level, and it is a very good representation of what it looks like to the naked eye when you are standing over the bumper. From this distance, with the naked eye, the epoxy looks the same as the Monaco Blue body color.

This second picture is from about waist high, standing over the bumper, representing what it looks like if you are bent over, looking at the bumper. If you look really closely from this distance, you can slightly tell that the epoxy is darker than the Monaco Blue body color.

This third picture is from about 12 inches away, examining the bumper. At this distance you can start to clearly see the epoxy is a different, darker color than the Monaco Blue body color.

This last picture is an extreme closeup, from only 3-4 inches away. The bright flash makes the epoxy look a little more grey than it actually is, it is a darker black than what this picture presents, but clearly not the same as the Monaco Blue body color.

Great pics. This really helps. Thanks.

I'll go ahead with the epoxy and later decide if I need to paint it.

Swoop and I got together to install the ACS lip.
Pretty much the same instructions as the Hartge lip.
The accent bars were removed and we did not put them back.
I think swoop might paint the middle one white to match the car.
The side ones need to be cut if you want them back.
But, the white car looked better without them.

Here are some pics of the final result.

I'm not sure if I've done this yet, but I really need to thank Frank for helping me (basically doing it all himself) put on my ACS front lip. You did a fantastic job and it was a pleasure meeting you.

i did the install myself too and i still have that freaking gap . all the double sided tape in the world wont be able to close it and epoxy is out of the question. does anyone know the size of the screw that goes through the bumper by the fog lights into a clip apparently... because i think that is the key to solving this issue.

BTW Swoop should look into painting that grille.. i did mine aluminum look so that it looks copesthetic.

Do I need to put screws underneath or will the 3m tape on the pillars and corners be enough to hold it?

Please Help!

No need to put screws.
The tape will hold the lip.
Use enough tape!
