Worsening Fuel Consuption & the Diesel Pressure Converter
I did a search and found nothing from the UK.
A 330D owner from another site (Scoobynet) has mentioned the need to clean / replace his pressure converter every 12 months or so to stop the drop in MPG he was seeing. There's an article on BMW Land for 320D. I've seen threads on worsening consumption, but the pressure converter wasn't mentioned. I'm not aware of his cars age, but is this something somebody can enlighten me on? Is it a known problem on the 335 or even modern engines? |

I quote from a phone call I've just had with BMW UK technical...
"That is an old article in which the issues have already been addressed during the continued development cycles the engines have been in...."
