I have used Chemix Autocentres in the past for tyres and their work has always been good.

If you go on to their site and download the special offers, it actually gives you a voucher for FREE alignment.

Not sure whether this is for the HUNTER system though.

Will having new tyres effect the allignment? Is it better to have the new tyres put on 1st then alligned or does it not make a difference?

I dont think it makes any difference, but clearly you wouldn't want to fork out for new tyres if your alignment was out.

I'm having tyres fittted and then alignment same day.

If there is no current issue with your alignment, then there is no inherent need to have it looked at if you're just changing tyres.

However, I habitually have the alignment checked everytime I change tyres, because I just want to make sure that I don't start a new set and create abnormal wear straight away

Reason i asked was, i have 2 brand new front tyres which have not been put on yet. So was wondering which way around to do it. Tyres 1st or allignment 1st.

I purchased 4 brand new tyres when Costco had the offer on but only needed the rears on. So the fronts are in my garage. Costo said bring them back within a year for free fitting.

If you're at a good tyre place, they'll have a hunter alignment machine, which is a 4-wheel laser thing and one of the most accurate devices available. Get the tyre changed, and the alignment done all at the same time. It doesn't matter which is done first if they're been done one after another... if there's going to be a couple of days between them, get the alignment done first, then the tyre change
