The unit clears error codes to make its use invisible to BMW dealer diagnostics.

Can you do custom maps? Say, if someone changed turbos, for example.

Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3 are common in VAG world, Revo (for example) I'm sure you know offer Generic Stage 3 maps for particular Turbo upgrades, GT28RS etc...

As the e9x gets older, there's got to be some opportunities, surely?
Yes we can custom map. You are right...I think as the cars get older there will be more scope for additional upgrades.

That's re-assuring as not sure that the Bluefin equivalent does that?

It has been available since last week. Almost sold out of the first batch - have one left. I did post up about it - not sure where the thread went. The switchable unit is £185 plus the cost of the map.

Oh here it is...its in this thread but earlier on...http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...8&postcount=33

Imran, does it also change the check sum back to the previous version, ie you apply the map, it goes up by one but then subtracts one? I understood that this is one of the first things that BMW looks for in detecting a remap.

Anyway, it seems like the ideal too and being able to get a new map (via email and uploading it yourself via OBD) if dealer puts a new version of software is brilliant

Any news on the air intake for the 335i? BMS version seems to deliver the goods.

So could I add the second map for my 520d 177 for just £150 less 20%?

Do you also offer a engine warranty in case the map causes damage?

Cheers.

When the car is returned to stock it is exactly as it was before the remap was applied.

I just took delivery of the Simota Carbon airbox for the 335i - will test it this week.

The price for the second map only applies to the original car not an additional one.

We do not currently support the EDC17 ECU in the 177 BHP engine. This will be coming soon.

Yes we do offer a warranty.

This one looks good. Better than their cheaper kits for the E36 M3 etc. The contruction is always good - its the carbon weave that lets them down sometimes. In most cases they actually produce more power too so we will see - you want to test it out? :-)

I'll post some pics up later today.

I'll be interested to see what it produces, as well as what it sounds like...
