info on swapping tires

ordered a 3281, due end of nov. i saw some serious wheels i want to order. they're the same size 17x8. emailed bmw asked my salesman would they fit(of course the dist. said yes). couldn't see why they wouldn't but my salesman and the parts mgr said they weren't sure which i found strange. maybe they don't want to say yes in writing. appreciate some (technical help). now on the cosmetic side what's the deal with invisishield. i'm moving south from NY but will be on the hwy a lot. is this worth me getting and where? thanx for the feedback.
