iPod playlists won't stay set to "Random"

Anyone else having this problem?

09 - E92 with Nav, Logic7, iPod and Sirius.

The problem I am having is that every time I turn the car off (either overnight or just for a little while) the Random function resets to OFF.

I don't know if this is a iDrive issue, an iPod issue or what, but if anyone else has seem something similar, I would love to hear about it.

That was part of the old "6FL switching problem" that used to be corrected by a Progman update in the old days. Besides switching to FM, the random wouldn't "hold". My dealer updated mine about 2 years ago, and it's been perfect since. I am surprized that your new '09 is doing this, I haven't read about this problem for a long time, but it sound like it's the same old issue rearing its' ugly head again.

It might have something to do with the type of iPod you're using. When I'm using a previous gen 5G iPod it does that all the time, but when occasionally I've used a current gen nano the random setting sticks.. (With an 09 iDrive)
