It sucks reality checks like this are needed. It sucks even more that most of these lessons are lost on the types of people who drive drunk. You're buddy was tired, which i put in a different class. But drunks kind irritate me. My car doubles as a bed when i'm too drunk. I've even had a cop tap my window, ask me what was up. He laughed and said good job!

I had been driving for like 3 1/2 hours at the speed limit after getting a speeding ticket earlier on the same trip, and everyone I was driving with was fast asleep so no radio etc, just total silence. I started dozing off when all of a sudden I felt the car drift, and luckily got an early warning when I felt the car ride over some road reflectors. I pulled over for like 20 minutes, drank a bucket load of water, walked around the car a couple of times...but all I could think of was what if something had happened. The worst is I was driviing with peoples daughters in the car and could not bare the thought of having their families recieve bad news. Thank God nothing happened! Driving tired FTL! |

Yeah, I'm glad I wasn't responsible for anyone else. Although before I had left, my girlfriend was like, "You shouldn't leave so late, blah blah blah," and I'm like "I'll be fine." She was like if anything happens to you you're never going to hear the end of it from me. I never told her what happened and definitely don't plan on it, lol. |
