Group Hug was founded by Gabriel Jeffrey on October 1, 2003. The concept has always been simple: a place for anonymous confessions, with no editorial bias. Which is awesome.

Since 2004, Adam Bregenzer has been running both security operations and the athletic program at GroupHug.us HQ, Robert Cope handles firearms, James Dogopoulos operates all heavy machinery, and Kitt Hodsden helps out from time to time with Drupal and glass blowing.

Since launch, millions of people have visited, and hundreds of thousands have confessed. The press has been kind, The Vatican is officially not a fan, and numerous individuals have found inspiration in these pages, which have inspired countless clones and spinoffs, a play, a few art installations, and a book.

Group Hug is still an experiment, a work in progress. If you have any suggestions, email hello@grouphug.us. Don’t bother asking questions about confessions.
