Breyton wheels are VERY well made and here is why...

some of you might know that i hit a curb a little while ago, well here are some pics. The front driver's side tie rod...

Which you can see is straight as an arrow. Now here is the other side tie rod, the one that hit the curb...

Not only was the tie rod replaced but the control arm and the wheel hub, but get this... At the dealer they took the Breyton Spirit wheel and tire to the wheel balancing machine and it balanced PERFECTLY FINE!!! It had some curb rash but the wheel was perfectly straight after taking the blunt force of the entire car again a curb while going like 25mph! The tie rod and control arm broke before the wheel did, how crazy is that! I guess it is because BMW used alum. parts to help save weight, but they are not as strong. Here is a picture after the accident where you can see the whole wheel is bent inward while still on the car.

In both of the above pictures the steering wheel was pointing straight. Just wanted to give props to breyton wheels.

i have the same rims in black

i was driving in LA and there was a sewage gutter without the cap on it and my car dropped about 4 inches into the hole.

my rims have a minor scratch, no bends, and im still rolling on them

i actually have found that the visions arent that hard. when i got them mine were used and when i went to get them repainted the guy said they were pretty well out of whack, and that was from very little curb damage.

if the wheel was softer maybe your suspension wouldn't have been so messed up....

Maybe a 235/35/19 tire with a rim protector would have saved the rim a bit of agony?

doubt it, .5cm of rubber only stops damage if you are parallel parking or something and hit a curb
