I have heard that the OEM 335i front upper strut mounts (bearing+spring plate) are quite soft and deflect under load, this brings lack of precision steering on heavy load.

Actually I am planning to mount BMW performance springs and shocks on my 335i. they have the same dimensions as the OEM 335i parts.

I whould use the OEM M3 upper strut mounts on the 335i, because it seems they are more firm and give better steering control.
Is this a direct swap? Will it fit to the shape of the spring and stem of the shock?

Seen in realoem.com that the mounts have a complete differnt aspect between M3 and 335i, but maybe the M3 one will fit and lower some extra the car?
