Question Bridgestone Potenza & Michelin PS2 mixed

I have the stock Bridgestone Potenza RF tires on my 335i, and need to replace the two front tires. I was considering replacing them with the Michelin PS2 ZP tires. Is there an issue with having Michelins in front, and Bridgestones in the back. Both are performance tires, and both are run flat.

Avoid mixing if possible. Even though they both happen to be runflat performance tires, these tires are different from each other in regards to tread pattern, compound, construction, handling, ride and grip. Mixing them can cause unstable handling.

I have Bridgestone RFT's on front and Dunlop Direzza Non-RFT's on the rear and notice nothing out of the ordinary when driving at typical speeds (0-80MPH) on wet or dry pavement.

^ Duh! It's never a big deal until the unexpected happens. From a DSC & ABS standpoint, the system is calibrated under the assumption that all four tires are matching. When you mix and match, you're throwing variables into the DSC & ABS system algorithms that were never meant to be there. While things may 'work just fine', and you managed to miss the teenager that pulled out in front of you while texting, your DSC & ABS systems are certainly not optimized.

Agreed. In a straight line or very easy driving most cars could handle mixing, but unfortunately life just isn't that predictable. It just takes one emergency lane chage or swerve to miss a pothole or animal to lose control....
