Help! new car

As some of you know, my car is here but I can't pick up since I'm in LA, but I called the insurance company today to get my car insured. When the asked for the VIN# I gave them what my SA gave me #PA8***3. The insurance company (GEICO) says that's wrong and that my VIN number has to start with WA something. So now I'm just trying to figure who the hell is right and how the hell else can I get my VIN#?

All BMW started with WBXXX on the VIN # you should have it when you placed yours order.

never mind, it was in the owner's circle under car tracking, will call Geico tomorrow.

I believe the # you first had is the last 7 digits of your VIN. Maybe you were used to using that to check on your vehicle status over the phone but it's not the complete VIN #
