Advice for new car prep
I am prepping my new M3 in a couple weeks and I would like to know if I'm using the correct steps and products as I'm slightly a novice when it comes to detailing.
I am planning on detailing according to the following steps: CG wash CG clay P21S paint Cleanse ( Is this necessary on a new car?) CG Jet seal CG 5050 |

I would hit the paint with Menzerna PO106ff and a white pad, followed by your Jet seal, etc.
If you throw a halogen on your new car, you'll be surprised by how many swirls are in the paint, even though the car is new, its had all sorts of stuff put on it while it was shipped.

"correct" products are more of a personal preferance. Youre on the right track. I havent used everything on Detailed Image. but what i haveused i have been happy with. there is a reason most of the pro detailers stick with those products. if you want my current personal arsenal, most can be found on detailed image, its as follows.
CG Luber CG Fine Clay No polish(dont need any....YET) Have used poorboys and like it, same with menzerna line 3M Imperial hand glaze CG M_Seal Dodo Blue Velvet

Your process is fine but more than likely you are going to have imperfections. I took delivery of my 335i and I asked them not to prep it, and they did anyway. When I finally got, it looked good and then I got it home and washed it with Chemical Guys Citrus Wash and Gloss. The wash revealed swirls and scratches and a very dull surface. You will need a good polish. I hope you have a PC to help out.

![]() just take a look at how my "New" car came! http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...etailed+e90+m3 you are going to need to polish it, try going with this KIT from Detailers Domain. i used to use that machine, and it works great, and is safe enough for a beginner! |

Yes, you can use any polish and use any wax. I mix and match all the time depending on the car and what the client wants.
