Hey guys, So i dont want to spend thousands and thousands of dollars to upgrade my brakes. What else can I do? Does anyone recommend some good pads/rotors?

What are the other options?

You know that it'll avoid your brake maintenance plan in the future, right?
I really hate this dusty OEM brake pads but I'm sticking with it just because I don't want to pay for my rotors/pads/sensor replacement in the future.

If you replace either pads or rotors, BMW will avoid your brake maintenance plan. Just letting you know. =)

yeah thats true, but my breaks make this odd squeaking sound.... i have brought it to the dealership and they told me to just tighten my ebrake and move forward in an attempt to "clean" off the pads or rotors whatever... needless to say its really annoying and to be honest quite embarassing... sounds like a cheap junker... the tech says my breaks are fine and dont need replacement

I dont know what the deal is but if thats how they are going to take care of my issue, i would rather spend some $$ get some quality upgraded brake mods and have to clean my wheels far fewer times in the week

So you're thinking of changing the entire brake system due to a squeak in the brake pads? Have you tried anti-squeal compound on the back of the pads? This should dampen any vibration that causes the pads to make that high pitched sound.

Not just that but I have pretty much modified everything else but the brakes, so why stop now?

Option 1: Complain till your jaw hurts to the dealer about replacing your pads and rotors. Both me and my wifes 335i's had this problem. According to the dealer it was "an accumulation of brake dust between the pad and rotor" you'll notice it happens when you take off, not when slowing down. THEY ALL DO THIS. I just got all of my brakes and rotors replaced day before yesterday and its gone. Took 15K miles though.

Suggested solution from the dealer was to "change our braking behavior".

Option 2:

Buy this: HAWK HPS

and while you are at it, buy this as well.

How about for the rear?

My car wouldn't squeal till it got warmed up. Took it to dealer 3 times before they finally replaced pads and sensors in the rear. The first to times they would say they could not get the back to squeal, but after I picked the car up and drove it around for 15 min the squeal came back. I finally made a tech ride with me and he witness the sound, he apologized for all the repeat trips, I live 90 miles from the closest dealership and said he would get it fixed.
