You can't tighten the drain plug too tight. If you do the o-ring will move all over the place not creating a good seal. Tighten yours until you see the o-ring seat nicely then give it a tad more. If it still leaks put a little bit of RTV on the threads.

I noticed that already. It would have been better if they used a metal o-ring like the oil drain plug in the oil pan. Those cheap o-rings will never last.

Will you be doing a DIY for the community to go out and buy the parts and put it together?

simply vent the can to free air with a smal hole.
