That was pretty funny. I would think that the oils in the PB stayed on the rim, making it look like it was just waxed. You could get the same effect using 3M IHG.

this works wonders if there are loose dogs in the neigborhood that you don't like



they'll eat peanut buttery brake dust

You guys are laughing.

I had waxed my wife's X5 and some wax got on the black plastic handles and I couldn't get it off.

Responding to her taunts of "You can get the car looking nice but the handles look like poo", I signed on to the internet and quickly found out from my friends at x5world.com that PB gets that pesky wax off the black plastic trim bits......and so it does!!

I'm gonna put some on my wheels and see what happens!

You might recall from chemistry that "like dissolves like," and both wax and oil are hydrophobic, and insoluble in water. However, oil can be removed more easily with the formation of mycelles (did I spell that right?) from detergents (i.e., soap).
