Is this technically possible?
Imagine this:
A USB A2DP dongle that plugs into the car's USB port To the car, it appears as a USB memory stick with MP3s stored locally on it, so the song tracks appear on the car stereo display and you can use the radio controls to skip forward and back through tracks, however, what it really is doing is forwarding the music from your cell phone or other A2DP device. Maybe it could also be used as a handsfree device for your phone if you used the phone's microphone or if it paired with a hardwired mic installed in the car. Maybe even send the caller ID through to the radio display as a song track title. Is this something that could be developed? |

It would depend heavily on the phone.
Is that a Bluetooth dongle?

You would be able to plug it into anything that could read a memory stick. It would get power over the same USB port so you don't need to use a separate power port. Very clean and neat installation. |
