not sure if L7 comes standard with the 335 coupe, but I hope it does. I took my old system out of my g35 coupe and am going to install in the bimmer. This does include a smallish box with one JL10W6 and a punch power 500 single channel. Since the trunk is actually a little bigger, it should sound real good, and it really doesn't take up too much space. JL subs are the way to go for sure. Hopefully I won't have to buy new mids and highs, but we'll just have to wait and see

I'll have to agree with Matt about L7.
I used to have a couple of subs in my last E46 and as most would tell you, because of the excellent seal between the trunk and cabin, it was hard to get the bass in the cabin. Well with the L7 and the placement of the subs under the seat, you actually get more of the mid and low end bass in the cabin and sounds much cleaner than just adding huge amounts of bass to get that boom effect. It really depends on the end user's needs and requirements though. I just think for a majority of drivers, the L7 will exceed expectations for clarity and power. |
