My New BMW 335i Xdrive

Here are some pics of my new car. Just picked it up and wanted to introduce it to the forum. I might as well save these pics cause it will get dirty fast up here. Thanks again for all the insight and advice and am sure there will be more to come.

Apologies for the poor photography skills.. its cold and I didn't want to stay out there anymore.

I'm looking at the same rig. I live north of Boston and while I want RWD, part of me realizes I'll regret it come winter. Beyond RWD feeling, I've also been told the XI Bmw's ride too high. Have you found this to be the case? Does it seem worse than the RWD 3 series? What went in to your decision to go xdrive and do you think RWD is a bad call for our area?

Thing looks sweet btw.

Ps: can you get 19's on the XI?

snow tires and rwd ftw. even if you get an xi with zsp the tires are not made for the snow, so you would prob need snow tires anyway. get rwd with snows and drive like a sane person in the snow. plus how long is the snow actually on the ground after it snows?!?!?!?!?!?!

Thanks Stinsy

We got the Xi because we wanted AWD. The ultimate driving expereience should be on a RWD but in our case, I have no plans to race etc..

As twinturbo stated, with the tires that come with the ZSP(sport package), I am looking for a winter setup anyway.. they are summer performance tires. People have stated the tires are bad in the rain but I drove to NY last weekend in the monsoon and they were not as bad I have read. If you drive normal, then you will be all set.

The Xi, non xi is your preference. Plenty of peps here in boston driving RWD's with winter tires with no issues.

19's definately fit.. at least from the threads I have seen.

Glad to hear. Basically looking for permission to get RWD. You're right the snow is only on ground (bad) for a few days out of the year. And I will get snows anyway. I've got snows on my RS4 even with Quattro. Never had a bmer so I want to make a choice I won't regret. I don't know why, but the ride height thing is huge for me.

I'm leaning rear. Test drive coming soon! I'm off lease in June.

Jet black? I thought E92 only comes in Sapphire black ? Is it a new option
for 2009 model? If that was true then i envied you. Mine was a Sapphire black and even with wash and detailed is just doesn't match the deep wet look you got on a jet black car.
