I'm at Yonge and 401. Yonge St was completely white with hail, it was all over my balcony, and my GF could hear it in the shower as it pounded on my bedroom window. I've never seen anything like it. Sorry to hear about your damages, I hope it all gets sorted out in a professional manner.

The damage wasn't so obvious at first. But after the rain stopped and the sun came out it was a different story. The hood is ruined, as it the roof, and trunk. Both pillars and even the aluminum trim is dented. How are things like the pillars and and trim fixed, if at all?

I made a claim with my insurance company and I'm going to the body shop Tuesday. My guess is 15-25k damage .. I heard the car is considered a write off if the damage is 80% of the cars current value.

Hope you guys were luckier then I was.. If anyone has had experience with this in the past, Let me know how repairs worked out for you.
that sucks dude - good luck with the repairs

without seeing pictures... I think your estimate of 12 to 15k is way too much. Last year I had the same thing happen to my 328i. They replaced the hood and trunk. Fixed the rest. A and B pillars had damage too. Hail was also golf balls size. Interestingly enough I was at a Golf Course when it happened... Good luck finding your ball... hahaha

Total repairs took well over 4 weeks due to problems at the time at the car dealership's bodyshop...

I saw the final bill that was sent to the insurer. approx. 6500$. The car had over 100 dimples on it.. funny enough, like a golf ball, it was faster!

anyways can't stress this enough...

There were 100s of cars hit with a barrage of golf ball size hail in the yonge/lawerence area and at least as far east as leslie. The downpour lasted about 2 min. Most cars in the neighbourhood have 100+ dents in the hood, roof, door panels etc. - a walk around a few blocks you can observe any car that was parked outside with this damage - including from my observation a couple of 335s, 5 series, a new jag, an Audi RS4, a porsche cayanne turbo, a 911, + many other late model cars. A sad sight - it will mean most will have to pay $500-$1000 depending on their insurance deductible, plus the inconvenience of waiting for repairs, trips to the dealer, rental cars etc etc etc - what a mess.

sharing my own experience... i guess i was a bit lucklier but it is painful still.. 6 dents in roof and 6 in trunk... dont even want to look more...

will insurance cover it?

how much does PDR cost? will it solve slight dimples in the car? anyone have any experience or recommendations for this? can they come to your house?
