Need some help removing center console

Can someone give me some pointers on removing the center console on a 2006 330XI?
I have the wood trim piece around the shifter off, the 2 bolts on either side of the shifter out, and the Ebrake cover off but now what?
Seems to be loose and will slide back and forth but not enough to get it out.

I would appreciate this too

My center console creaks and groans like an old man descending stairs in the winter.

I would love to disassemble the entire region from the stereo backwards following the drive shaft, through the arm rest, back to the rear HVAC vents, and then soundproof and reassemble.

Thanks in advance to whatever much more mechanically inclined person out there might take the time to post a how-to.

Garage List

Remove the rear cover, where the A/C is, there are catches at the points marked.

Remove the nuts, and unplug anything plugged in.

Remove in the direction indicated.
