If you go this far then you can covert you KW v3 into a true Coilover with good quality 60 mm Swift spring. You will be amazed how much softer your ride is with the same spring rate. The range of the dampers are 570-900 lb/in in the rear and 285-400 lb/in front. It has just as much range as TC Klien.

You can order any of the KW part from any reseller and they take about 2-3 days to get.

Thanks Orb! Is there a specific Swift Spring you recommend? I checked the website for swift springs and couldn't find the right application.

I have KW V3 and Quaife LSD as well. will be getting M3 rear guide rods, front tension struts and wishbones and maybe roll bars.

called KW. no camber plates for e92 KW V3 and those part numbers don't come up. but if i went with linear springs can use M3 plates. cost is $450 each...$900!
are they that much better than vorshlag?
KW linear springs go for $120 each (510 fronts and 800 rears). how much for swift springs?

The part numbers are directly from a KW Germany invoice. The camber plates are used on the 1, 3 and M3 cars Clubsport which are identical to v3 except for stiffer rebound valving. It is fairly common in Europe for people to upgrade to linear spring and KW camber plates. My plates coasted about the same as the TC Kline’s. I not sure what is up with you quote on springs but even that seems wrong as they don’t sell for this much. You be better of calling a KW authorized dealer or talk to Tom Edge at KW.

As for springs, you have to pick your won which is the whole purpose of 60 mm springs. The Swift spring sell for about 85.00 to 100.00 each. The helper springs are about 1/3 less.

As for Vorshlag, they are the wrong stack height so live with the junk they give you for lower cost or buy the correct parts. The KW camber plates are a much better design than the Vorshlag and the stack height is correct and they don’t make noise. One fits correctly the other doesn’t.

I wonder why KW with progressive springs? if linear are so much better. surely they have put big$$$ in R&D.

Orb, could you give some more information on what specifically (part numbers and manufacturers) one would need to go from progressive springs to the linear springs (Swift Springs?)?

We all know Turner list camber plates and some that don't even fit just like the brake pads they list.

The Vorshlag plates are junk as they don't fit right. The stack height is wrong and the nuts hit the tower and brace. They also make a lot of noise. This is what you get when you try to make e36 camber plate and use it to fit another application...it is called a hack when one doesn’t even check. They have tired to fix their plates twice but have failed to do it right. This is what happens when someone pretends to be an engineer….incompetence.

The KW plates fit perfect and make no noise so that is why people ask for them.

I have used many of the Vorshlag products on my E46 M3 and they have worked beautifully.

The camber plates are ones that are used all the time w/moton suspensions. Their strut bar is a nice piece of work made by John Mason of Mason engineering. I have their motor mounts and tranny mounts on my race car as well..

The owner of Vorshlag was one of the people that started/head engineers at Koni, that eventually split into Moton/AST/Ohlins.

I would not say that they are incompetent or are "pretend engineers"

Noises are inherent with RACE components on street cars. Take a ride with me in my E46 race car and you will understand what "noises" are. Fitment is another issue and I have done research on this forum, but I guess I haven't gone through the "Vorshlag Camber Plates suck" threads.

The KW Plates should fit perfectly, but the no noise, could mean a few things as well.

If you get the clubsports they come with them.

Since I see you are having a hard time finding them - us as well as any of the authorized KW dealers can get you the camber plates.

What can i say this is thier first try. I doubt they even measured. As you can see they missed the mark and reduced travel by 1". After being told what he problem were they took 6 months to fix half of them.

Honestly, this is almost to funny as it just doesn't happen in any other field.

Yes the bearing is lose in the cup....makes for good clicking sounds. You got to love the extra chips is comes with as well.
