what are the...

......2 small bars approx 1.5inches each that stick out on top of the rear parcel shelf on the E90, behind the headrests?

My car doesn't have them, hence the question.

Regards - Aky

They are the 3rd attachment point for ISO FIX child seats that can use a top tether strap, instead of a foot prop, in addition to the lower mounting points. My March 06 E90 didn't have them but they came in pretty soon after that.

Tourers and Hatches, or cars without a rigid fixed parcel shelf, have these on the boot floor behind the seat back or on the seat back itself.

Did they get changed with the late 07 update (namely efficient Dynamics) My car has Isofix and 3rd tether but the brochure I'd got just before the Efficient Dynamics changes said Isofix was an option (my car's a 57 plate btw)

Front isofix was an £35 option when i ordered my E90 in Jan 06, now it comes free on all E9x since 07 i think

Euro regs states ALL cars made since mar 06 MUST have rear isofix and top tether as a minimum.

My Mar 06 E90 had rear isofix but no top tether, just missed it i reckon.....
