Just thought I would bump this thread, I am trying to decide if I am going to paint my UR intake when it gets here. If I can get it to turn out similar to the OP's I would be pretty happy....

Unless you completely submerged the filter in water it will be no problem, IMO

percentage wise Im sure the gains were minimal...I think UR claims about 10-15HP. What I like best about this intake is it looks great and sounds just as good as it looks, it is a very high quality intake and one of the only true CAI's for our car.

i know i'm bumping but i'm installing now and i'm having some trouble with the fender liner getting to fit again. any suggestions?

It should fit back in with no problems, unless you went with a larger air filter...The one supplied although its small is adequate enough to allow enough space for the fenderlining to be reinstalled with no problems...

What i did to make it ALOT easier was i cut the pipe, near the PS resivior as it starts to go down and i installed a coupler there and i made a bracket to hold the lower piece in place. makes it SO much easier to install and remove the top piece for any maintenance.
