blackberry pearl 8100 for me. the bluetooth phonebook sync was the winner for me, once it had updated its now superb. keep the phone locked away in the arm rest and i have full access to my entire phonebook via the steering wheel/stereo.

Word of warning to blackberry users, do not set up a generic "group" within your phonebook, i did this as my wife is expecting and i will send a group text once the wee one arrives, but having this in your phonebook confuses the shit out of the system and causes errors on the blackberry.

Group text? Saving time?

When our baby arrived, I was glad to get out in the fresh air for 20 minutes to send lots of carefully written individual texts!

I think that was the last quiet 20 minutes in my life since then..... ah memories of sundays in the pub.......

I found out about the "group" issue about a year ago. It throws a Java exception error. Delete the group and it pairs immediately. You might consider putting categories in your address book. From there you can turn on a filter for them. It cuts down the number of entries displayed so you can quickly scan through them.

Cheers

If you press the release button the plastic pops up and below is the flux capacitor drop in some Plutonium to generate the 1.21 jiggawatts needed, put the desired date into head unit and hit 88mph and bingo

That's very interesting - I had exactly the same problem with my 8100 when I had a loaner (don't have Bluetooth in mine). I thought it was the security my company has stuck on my handset, but obviously it was something simpler! I'll delete my 'groups' and try again in the next loaner (car will be going back soon for more welding on the A pilars). If it works I know I can spec Bluetooth in my next BMW.
