GoodYear Eagle F1 Asymmetric (direction question)

Hey guys!
I recently bought Eagle Asymmetrics and they are gonna be installed tomorrow
I see they have no required rotational direction, just has to be installed with correct side
Anyone knows what "better" way to put them on?

What do you mean a better way? The only thing I can think of is that you should have them installed at a tire shop.

They can go both directions, just make sure the side of the tire maked 'outside' faces out.

I know that they can go either direction
I started this thread to actually figure out which direction

Base on the thread pattern it looks like it might give you slight difference in dry/wet conditions

Looking at the picture below, right side is outer side and left is inner
However, to me, it looks like the tire on the picture should rotate from you, not towards you
Based on groves angles, etc

Direction of rotation does NOT matter with this tire, but inside vs. outside is very important. "Inside" and "outside" will be stamped right on the sidewall of the tire. Make sure all are mounted with the outside sidewall of the tire by the face of the wheel.

That will mean that one side may look backward to you, but not to worry, the only thing that matters is inside in and outside out.

Thanks Ben
Just found really old thread covering this
It looks like there is no right or left tire
So they will always look like one is going forward and the other is backward

Weird, but true

Wait till you break them in! The grip gets better after 500 miles or so.

What psi are you guys running on these?
I just put 35/36 for f/r (cold)
I wonder what is optimal for these tires on 19s

What's the consensus on these compared to the GSD3s (aside from Andray)? I love my GSD3's, but the tread pattern looks totally different, and a whole lot less aggressive on the Asyms

doesn't make much sense considering the asymmetrics are the predecessor to the gs-d3

No. The GSD3 is the older model (and is being phased out)

BTW, cornering and off-the-line grip is huge improvement over GS-D3s
I cant comment on wet performance yet, but i really have a hard time braking tires loose on dry
It's more predictable too
I just have more confidence now with overall driving experience

The F1 Asymmetric is the newer model, and does have more grip than the (already quite good) GS-D3. The GSD3 may have an edge blasting through deep puddles because of the directional tread, but for actual wet or dry grip the new model has the advantage.
