def nicer LOOKING than the oem rotors, but cross drilled rotors AND slotted! i would prefer slotted rotors since they are ideal for racing, but cross drilled LOOK great.

the lines, fluid, and pads make a HUGE difference.

I would suggest you go ferodo ds2500. They are a bit more aggressive than axxis (axxis are an alternative to OEM really - no improvement in performance - well tangible ones). Ferodos do emit purple non-corrosive brake dust, and smell wonderful!

What brake fluid did you go with?

in the US superblue isn't a DOT legal brake fluid due to color. not sure how hard visual inspection is in your states. I stopped using superblue for that color.

i agree with ferodo DS2500. they may squeal when cold though. i used to use carbotech panther plus which is a similar compound

and personally, i would use a blank (non slotted, non drilled) rotor since those holes are opportunity to stress crack and slots are really only good for cleaning off mud etc from the rotor face

rotors were 500 USD shipped to my place in Sweden. I am now looking to find a set of slotted rotors for the rear.

thinking about getting the back rotors now as well from Stoptech. Would you go for the same drilled & slotted or only slotted at the rear? Leaning towards only slotted.

+1 ...... slotted will dissipate the heat much better. Besides, aren't the rear brakes doing most of the braking/stopping anyway?

thought the front were the one doing most of the work. when i changed the pad the back one were almost gone by the way while the front one were still good so maybe you are right ! Slotted back will be i guess.

The front pads have twice the contact area that why they last longer and most of your stopping power is on the fronts.

It's just me experience that the rears seem to wear quicker ....... in looking at the pads I R&R'd the rears were worn more.

Either way, the rotors definitely have given some added braking power AND the slotted are the way to go in regards to heat transfer as well as less chance of stress/heat crackiing.

Something else I found is that the rear pads are THINNER than the front pads.

Cool Carbon front on the left, rear on the right.

The rears do wear more during casual driving. This is due to the manufacturer trying to keep the car level during stops instead of having the car dip in the front.
If you reset the brake indicator, you will find that the mileage to replace the rear is a lot less than the fronts.
