I love the system for my E92. Everything looks completely stock but the sound is amazing! Jim |

My car has the X-ion 200 set up front, hooked to a Hertz 4 channel (I believe it's the EP4) amp.
The speakers are designed for the new Beemers (e6x/e8x/e9x/) and sound great (given their price!). The mid's and tweeters in the front doors are replaced, as well as the standard 6.5" under the seats. The under seat subs upgrade to 8" and are seperately powered by the amp. I'm very satisfied with the results. I've owned a '05 330i with Logic 7, and to be honest, this sounds just as good. Different, definetely with more bass and volume (at half the price!). An alternative would be to buy the Blaupunkt THA555 PNP amp (5 channel amp), a good 4" compo (f.e. Hertz) and two Earthquake subs (SWS-8). Bit more expensive, but will give you a slightly better result. This set-up will give you a more 'cleaner' sound than the Logic 7. The Logic 7 system works with a digital processor (the Logic 7 part), and imho, you can hear that. Just my $0.02. Hope this is good info for you. |

2) "Classy" and "OEM" look are mutually exclusive in the 3 Series. 3) No. 4) It is not hopeless with enough money. Again, the budget decides... |

X2 on Technic's comment. After you get Logic 7, you may find you still want to upgrade.
I had an E60 owner who had L7 on the first lease caar, and on the second, spent $2K with us rather than $1200 with BMW, and got much better sound. (That was a Zapco DC amp, Hertz front comps, and a DLS 10" sub in a stealthy fiberglass OE-look corner enclosure). In the E90, I have done the same thing on a budget - gone with warmer and smoother front comps, a 10" in the trunk, powered by a new 4-channel amp, and left OE rears and underseats playing on the OE amp. Budget does determine. |

I would also recommend you listen to a properly tuned Logic 7 if you haven't already. The Logic 7 with it's default EQ isn't the greatest but when the EQ is set properly there is a night and day difference. Check out the sticky for a list of EQ settings http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=161120 But if you are deadset on going aftermarket upgrade anyways then disregard.
