e90 lip spoiler from ebay
Alright guys, was thinking of buying a m3 boot lip spoiler from ebay for the 3er. It says its coming from taiwan, but would I would be right in thinking there's a custom charge normally added to the normal delivery charge? I could be just making this up, but I think I read it somewhere and would be great if someone could confirm it?!
Thanks! |

Depends if they post it and mark it as gift or ebay item etc. if they mark it as gift you won't be charged a customs charge

You could try PM'ing a chap called Derek under the username cyba - not sure if he does lips, but I got gloss grills from him - very good service (he's in Taiwan)

Ask the company you are buying it from to mark it as a very low value and a gift or 'marketing sample' Never had a taiwan import charge yet (order quite a few things for work - AA nimh batteries in bulk etc) but had a US charge EVERY time As others said, if you want to be sure, use a UK supplier but will be more expensive. |

got mine from these guys last month : http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=260348274470
no customs and got them to paint it too in Monaco Blue, it came undamaged, very very very well packaged i might add and the colour match was perfect! worked out at 120e all in, and just fitted it with the already stuck on 3M tape.

The SSDD one is cheaper than the one's from taiwan (E92.) However i have seen pics with orange peel on the SSDDs, Taiwan one's seem better sprayed. Anyone got any thoughts before i purchase?

As I said previously I have purchased a Crimson Red lip spoiler and an Alpine white roof spoiler - both from Taiwan
Both came VERY well packed, Very well sprayed and a perfect colour match on both occasions. I would buy from Taiwan again without hesitation as I have never had a customs charge applied to any goods. A lot of the 'UK' products are just re-sold Taiwan goods anyway - I am not saying the SSDD ones are tho before I get flamed, I am talking in general. |

Had an SSDD one and one from Germany (said OEM) but was Taiwan - both rubbish!
Buy an original! Do it properly! Your car is worth it, surely? Spend £30-40K on a car but can't spend £160 on an OEM painted spoiler?!! Go on, you know it makes sense!!! |
