Paul Townsend from Shine-On....www.shineondetail.com.

He was made famous by appearing on a 5th Gear feature but he has also done some cars from the forum (e92fan and myself).

I think he is based your way but he goes anywhere - I'm in Leicestershire and he comes to me.

Hope that helps.

still remains a very pricey option compared to doing it yourself. A decent detail isnt particularly difficult, or pricey if you do yer own. Probably break even on the first run and you have all the tools at your disposal for the next, and the next, and the next time.
a machine polisher, polishes, wax, jet wash, foam, clay, cloths, mitts etc etc is about the same as paying someone else to do it.

I agree, the costs are probably about the same. Except you forgot to factor in the cost of correcting the mess a completely untrained newbie is likely to make on their own paintwork It may be fairly easy to polish off the clearcoat and remove swirls, but to do it properly and only take off a micron or two as opposed to 10 microns, and refine it down to a glass-like finish, that takes a bit of practice and is unlikely to be achieved first time out with a machine polisher!

As Palmball says, Paul from ShineOn is in your area - Junction 11 (I think) of the M4...

I don't agree, there is nothing like having your car professionally detailed especially if you find a detailer who is both excellent and reasnoable.

I use Simon Belli of Prestige Detailing. I have used Simon for the past 2 years and he is first rate, reasnaoable and will travel to you.

Check him out:

I use a guy Adam based in Aylesbury (www.refined-details.co.uk), he's young and at uni so his prices are cheaper than most.
That said he's been doing it since he was 13 so has a great knowledge of his products and techniques. He does a fantastic job, as you can see in his gallery.

Kent detailer

Hi all
I used KDS in Gillingham to detail my Focus RS.
Just sold that and now got a 530D (family motor), gonna let them loose on this soon.
Their site shows my Focus.
