Zaino 9 Question
Recently tried out Zaino 9 Leather Soft Leather Cleaner on the upholstery of a "second hand" chair I acquired. Sprayed it on, scrubbed the leather (which needed a cleaning) with a brush, then wiped it of with an old cotton T shirt. To my alarm, some of the dye was transferred to the T shirt, but not enough to discolor the leather. I'm now reluctant to try it on my 325xi's Terra leather.
Has anyone had problems using Zaino 9? Am I doing something wrong? Thanks |

It's hard to say what's up since every chair will have different leather. It is possible you have uncoated leather on the chair. Luckily BMW's leather is coated, so you're good to go - Z9 won't hurt it.

as long as you dont put too much on, then your all set. I love this stuff and it gives the car quite a nice leather smell. I'm on my second bottle because i love this stuff.!!!

I don't know about Terra, but it works well on my beige leather interior. I have not noticed any transfer of dye. Like mds82, I really like the Zaino leather cleaner and conditioner. My interior smells like a leather shoe factory afterwards.

I use Z9 and Z10 a lot and no problem at all. I think I occasionally put on too much Z9 but as long as you wipe it off dry, it's fine. They're so addictive.

I've used Z9 on several BMW's with a MF towel and have never had any dye transfer or problems. I think what picus said is certainly true - BMW leather is coated or "sealed" if you will and cleans beautifully with Z9 and then loves Z10 after. Your chair may have been the unsealed type of leather.

The directions on the Zaino leather spray cleaner says to use a brush to clean the leather.
Can I use a wax applicator instead of the brush? I have a few of those Zaino applicator pads. |

I've had very good results with a MF towel. The cotton terry type Zaino app's aren't that much different so I would guess yes, go for it.

Yes, you can use one of those applicators. I use a towel, too, but if I had a bunch of those wax applicators, it would work the same.
