What does dealer charge for oil change?
Just curious, since I don't have my car yet. I'd like to change it at 7,500....and figure the oil alone on the 335 is $42. What do they want for the filter and labor? I'm gonna guess $90 to $100?
With my Nissan I DIY and have probably a dozen OEM filters stashed away. But I think the 335 I'll just let the dealership handle the car for the first 4 yrs...... Thanks in advance for the info! |

Approx. $85 and no more than $100 I think.

I am curious, how many of you change the oil more frequently than recommended? I change it in my old cars about every three months or so since they are not driven much anymore but I was planning on following the system recommendations on the 328i. Am I making a mistake?

I paid $145 in May for my self-pay. In fact, I just got my free one done today.
When I did my own, the cost of the oil change for the e90 wasn't even in my dealer's service system yet. Of course, I'm in N. CA, so YMMV greatly.

There's a free annual oil change as part of the maintenance I believe, so even if you don't reach the service mileage you can get it changed.
IIRC there was a change for '07 that either took the free one away or increased the required mileage, not sure... anyone remember?

They just told me at the Service Department that they check the oil viscosity and base on that %, they decide weather to change it or not.
When I took my car about a month ago, the oil was at 28%, so they didn't want to change the oil. That really sucks!
