E90 with E46 ZHP muffler?
I've got a friend with an E46 330ci ZHP who is buying a catback exhaust system for his car. I'm wondering, would his muffler work on E90 328i? We haven't had a chance to measure anything yet but I'm just wondering if there are any significant differences in the designs of the exhaust systems of these cars that would prevent this from being a simple swap. The E46 is a coupe and my E90 is a sedan.

I would say that if its just the muffler, and the inlet pipe is the same diameter as the e90's pipe then any good muffler shop should be able to make custom hangers and fit the muffler to your car. I just might take some modding of the piping or the muffler itself.

Not sure why you'd want it. How is it any better than the stock E90 exhaust?
