Flash It?

been looking at a couple of flashes they got out for us and i really like the power gains on the ESS and AA. all the other flashes didnt really pump out to much power, they were a lil too mild for me. after researching and reading up on ESS i was considering purchasing it but run across some really f'ed up threads on ESS, so now im confused if they even put out the power they say they do with the stage 2/3. what exactly am i going to expect with the ESS or is there a better flash out there. to make things simple so i dont get the wrong answers, what i mean by best is good power but more efficent and reliable.

I suppose you want tuners from USA ? There are reputable tuners from Europe like Hamann, Hartge and AC Schnitzer which have flashes. Maybe some of them have US offices ?
