General car accessories shops in Canada (specifically GTA)

I moved to Canada (Toronto) a few years ago, but only got my first car (330xi) a few months ago. I want to buy a few general bits and bobs (torque wrench, air pressure gauge, electric pump, car jack). The only place I know of is Canadian Tire, but the impression I get is it only sells el cheapo junk. Is this a correct impression, or is there high quality stuff in there as well? If not where else can I go to get these bits and pieces?

people rag on Canadian Tire, but it's not too bad for your general automotive needs

I don't have a problem buying stuff from Canadian Tire and thats where you'll likely find all that stuff in the same store. But your other options for the stuff you are looking to get are Sears (for a Torque wrench but I found out recently they apparently don't sell the jacks anymore in the Canadian stores), Costco or Sam's Club for the floor jack and maybe the tire pressure guage). Then you could try Part Source or similar automotive parts places.

Yup, Canadian Tire is pretty good in general as long as you know what to look for. They also have killer sale prices on things quite regularly, I bought a cordless impact gun/driver from them last year on sale; from 249.99 to 149.99, then I used my accumulated Canadian Tire money and only ended up paying something like $4

They also have a 90 day return policy which is great.

Generally Can Tire works out well.
Although recently I bought their $65 torque wrench and it wasn't working. So I returned it and got the $122 ("Master") version of the torqe wrench (on sale 50% off) and it doesn't work either

I guess I'll go visit Canadian Tire on Monday then since I have the day off, but I'll avoid the "master" torque wrench. thanks for the comments.

I got my torque wrench from TireRack last time I placed an order a few years back, I could be mistaken but I don't think it was nearly as expensive as the ones they sell at Canadian Tire for some reason.

TwoSheds: Pick up a breaker bar from them while you're at it, also get an extension if the torque wrench doesn't already come with one.
