OEM Emblem Removal Assistance
I am installing the Vorsteiner deck lid (extension) and I need to remove the OEM BMW emblem from the rear trunk.
Can anyone tell me how to do this? Is it bolted onto the trunk? I have already attempted dental floss but halfway through the line keep breaking making me think it is bolted into the trunk. Any help is appreciated. SS

try a CC to get under the edge then use a squeegee or plastic tool if you have them, last resort use a small screw driver against it but be gentle not to far up the badge as you wiggle it off! Good luck..

They are not bolted; there are rubber gromets in the 2 holes where you insert the emblem along with 3M tape. The floss technique didn't worked for me either. I used those thin plastic wrappers (usually white or yello) that most shipper usually employ to secure the top/bottom of heavy boxes. They should have something similar in Lowes or Home Depot.
