Dodo Juice Supernatural

Hi all,

compared to Poorboy's Natty's Blue we discussed recently, is this wax more durable? Would I get away with 1 wax in the spring and another in autumn? I'm assuming it will also shine more than the Natty's?

Last but not least, if I just get a small sampler, how long will this last me? (how many complete car waxes)

Thanks.

I dont think any wax can last more than a month or two, unless you never drive it in the rain and rarely expose it to direct sunlight.

^^ What he said, especially true of the higher carnauba content waxes like the Dodo line.

That's pretty much the only thing stopping me from Supernatural or Purple Haze (I'm a bit of a cheapskate, even though my DD and DI order history doesn't support that statement). Although if I am able to hit up Bimmerfest next year, I will be buying some in anticipation -- special occasion and all

If you're not into waxing that often, go for a sealant. They offer longer-lasting protection and a very good amount of shine these days. You should have no problems getting 3-4 solid months out of each application, perhaps even more depending on the environment.

A sample of wax should be enough for one application, but it's close. Don't be too liberal with it (apply nice and thin), 30mL isn't much.

Supernatural is my favorite wax - if I didn't just order an iPhone, a full size jar would be at the top of my list. I ordered a sample from detailed image and fell in love. I used about a 1/4 of the sample jar applied by hand to cover the whole car. A few days later it rained and the wax provided lots of protection and very tight water beading.

My favorite thing about supernatural is how easy it is to remove, the following day some of the oils from the wax showed their face (pretty normal for higher end waxes) and a quick detailer and MF wipe down was all it took.

It's been 3 weeks and the car still looks reflective, it's great stuff.

+1 for the Sealent - You should be doing that anyway. Wax should never be a substitute for a sealant. Wax is more like a cherry to a sunday (Not necessary but really helps make things official).
