E92 sport package...help plzzz

for those of you who had experience with both the standard seats and sport seats in the E92, who do you think?
Since I'm considering getting snow tires for my upcoming 335i (ordering next week), the standard 17'' wheels will be a better option. I do like the 162s, but they're still no match for 19'' BBS RGRs or RS-GTs that I'm also thinking about.
So unless the sport seats are sooo superior that it justifies the $2000 price tag in Canada, I'll have to think hard about getting the sport package.

Thx and any comments are appreciated!

All I can say is that I love how the seats contour to your bodytype and the sports package is a no brainer. You always hear about those that wish they would've, well don't wish and get it!

If you don't mind sliding all over the seats; don't get the sports pkg.

I have sat in and driven an E92 with both. I don't think there is any comparison. I think the sport seats are much better. I felt they were more comfortable. I also like the side bolsters and the thigh support. Also with the extra decorative stitching they have, they just look better. IMHO

Get the package for the seats, sell the wheels & tires to recoup some cost. The RFTs are hard to get right now so its easy.

$2000 in Canada? damn here in NJ it's only $1000 more on the 335i coupe i don't know if it's more for 328i coupe.

ANyway, DEF get the sport package. When i got my 325i sedan and EVERYONE was telling me to spend the little extra, i didn't and i regret it ALL THE TIME... I mean you not only get the seats, but you get rims as well... I think that's a no brainer as well. If your getting a 335i i think the seats come automatic. GET THE SPORT PACKAGE!!!!!!!!!!!

Great, I ordered my 328xi coupe without the sports package because it comes with the performance tires but I wanted the all season's for the winter here. Too late now as the car is already at the VPC. And also, the sports package on the xi is only $400. Anyone know if it's possible to get just the sport seats installed after it has been produced?

* 8-way manual adjustable front sport seats with adjustable side bolsters, and 2-way headrests and thigh support
* 8-way power front sport seats with adjustable side bolsters, 2-way manual headrests and thigh support**

Actually its BMW's web programmer that messed up. If you build your vehicle online and click on the description of the sport package, it says it comes with performance tires. Now I feel really bad about not getting the upgrade which only costs $400. I wonder if I can sue BMW for causing me such emotional/mental problems. My car is probably still at the VPC. I wonder if my CA is able to call them and tell them to make the switch. Any know?

I don't think so.

Let's hope others see this and don't make the same mistake.

Another opinion - Comfy

Hi

I am 6"2 / 200lbs so the sports seats felt WAY too tight and higher sitting. The car is already on the small side and I really enjoy the feeling of more space. In addition, b/c of the bolster, my other sport seats always wore out quickly when getting in and out of the car. Honestly, I think that you will be happy with the regular seats.

Open up the side bolsters and lower the seat.

I'm 6'3" and 237 lbs. and the sport seats hold me perfectly with the bolsters wide open (a little tight with a coat on).

I just the sport seats.

IMO its worth it. Seats, adjustability are way worth it. I see the wheels as a bonus.
