offset /rubbing question
Hi guys
Before I post a question I just wanted to let you know that used search but could not get a straight answer. I also used the calculator but I still need your help to understand it better. I'm planning to get a set of staggered non M fittmen wheels but before i do that just want to make sure that they will fit. I have a 328 with sport package and do not want to make any modifications ( for example fender rolling ). Am i going to have rubbing problems? front wheels 19 x 8.5 offset ET38 with 235/35/19 tires rear wheels 19 x 10 offset ET44 265/30/19 tires Any comments greatly appreciated Thanks for your help |

First of all, is this an e90 or an e92? If you have stock suspension you should be fine with 8.5ET38 on the front; if you dropped the car (i.e., coilovers) you might need spacers to avoid wheel rubbing with the suspension. I don't have 10" inch rear wheels but that offset seems too tucked in and might have clearance issues with the suspension. Maybe someone else can chime in on 10" rear wheel offsets.

CV335 Thanks for a quick reply.
This is for E90. Maybe this will help. The wheels i am planning on getting are Hamann HM2. There is a member of this forum that sometime ago had this set of wheels for sale. I tired to contact him to get more info but have not heard back. Below is the link http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ght=hamann+hm2 Thanks |

In that other thread the OP had 9.5" ET40 in the rear. I'm not sure but the 10" ET44 wheel might not fit as it is (without spacers). Try checking and/or posting in this thread:

i think that the person who was selling those HM2 made a typo or was not sure of the exact offset.
I found this link, it looks that HM2 only come in 3 sizes. http://www.globalautoshop.com/wheels/hamann.htm I will check the thread you suggested and if i will not find anything i will post a question thanks again |

If I were to put spacers in the back, do you think they would fit( what size would I need to go with) Maybe I should go 19x8.5 all around to be safe, but I really like that staggered look.
