mp3 phone question
Is there a way so that the songs on my mp3 cell phones (wirelessly through bluetooth)
will output in the car speakers? does this sound feasible since it can do it with voice? Last edited by morningla; 05-13-2008 at 01:21 PM.. |

Technically it would be possible, but the software is not setup for that.

Not likely... there are different bluetooth profiles that both your phone and the car need to support. Here is a list:

Morningla's right about A2DP, but you're not completely out of luck. I'd suggest getting an A2DP stereo gateway to plug into your aux-in port. For example, a Motorola DC800 and a car charger and stick the whole mess in your center console.
The catch with this route is that it's still a rare phone that can be simultaneously connected to two different devices (the gateway via A2DP and your car via HFP) but you should be able to find something. The main issue with music over HFP is that HFP audio is 13-bit, 8Khz mono... not really worth the effort for music. A2DP goes at least up to 48Khz, 16-bit stereo. |
